The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty, through the Canary Institute of Agri-food Quality (ICCA), has convened the subsidies intended for cooperation actions for the promotion of differentiated quality agricultural and food products for 2026, within the framework of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC) 2023-2027

Quality products with a protected designation of origin are those protected by a Protected Designation of Origin, Protected Geographical Indication, and Traditional Specialty Guaranteed.

These grants, co-financed by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), by the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands through the ICCA, and by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, have a budget allocation of 295,000 euros for 2026.

Through this line, expenses arising from cooperation actions to promote the dissemination of the differentiated characteristics of products elaborated in accordance with the quality regimes set out in Article 24 of Law 6/2019, of April 9, on Agri-food Quality, are financed with an **aid intensity of 75%**

The purpose of the subsidy is "to confer added value to these products and improve their marketability, thereby increasing the profitability of the farms and consequently strengthening the productive fabric in rural areas, fostering greater consumer knowledge about the differential characteristics of agri-food products covered by quality schemes, and favoring their penetration into markets and the induction of their consumption".

Eligible activities include the organization or participation in seminars, courses, conferences, information days, workshops, and promotional events, as well as tastings, samplings, or presentations of quality products. Furthermore, activities for disseminating scientific and technical requirements, advertising in media or on the internet, development of informational material, and creation of websites are also considered, among others.

The deadline for the submission of applications will be one month from the day after the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands and must be submitted in accordance with the standardized forms accessible through the Electronic Headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands. .
