The Canary Islands Ministry of Agriculture has increased by 1.7 million the credits allocated to subsidies to support investments in agricultural holdings up to a total of 16.3 million. This action represents a 32% increase in the number of beneficiaries who have accessed these funds, given that 118 new files have been added from the 487 who applied for the aid.

These subsidies, called in advance for the 2022 financial year, aim to "improve the economic results of farms and facilitate the restructuring and modernization thereof, in order to direct them to challenges related to the environment, climate change or animal welfare".
