The harvest season in Lanzarote officially began on July 6, marking the start of one of the most important periods in grape cultivation on the island. During these weeks, the wineries Puro Rofe, Vega de Yuco, Vulcano, El Grifo, La Geria, and Los Bermejos will be involved in this process, with the arrival of their first grapes.

As is customary, all the wineries started with Malvasía Volcánica, the island's native grape. After its harvest, this work will begin with the Listán Blanco and Listán Negro varieties, and will end with the later-ripening grapes.

It should be noted that the harvest is carried out in stages throughout the island's different wine-growing areas and by varieties. Therefore, it is expected that the rest of the wineries will soon join this highly anticipated procedure for the sector in Lanzarote.

For its part, the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Vinos de Lanzarote wanted to "highlight, once again, the commendable work of the island's winegrowers and winemakers".
