SHOWS HIS "MOST ABSOLUTE REJECTION" OF THIS MEASURE

The Spínola group of companies from Arrecife has publicly shown its "most absolute rejection and disagreement" with the "repeated" closure of road access to the center of Arrecife. From Friday to Sunday, the Avenida Marítima de Arrecife was closed for the celebration of the Ocean Lava.

In fact, it has stated that if these cuts continue, the group of companies will be "forced" to "relocate" its businesses outside of Arrecife and close the Multicines Atlántida, "as is already being considered".

In this sense, they have pointed out that it is "public and notorious" that these closures have been occurring "more and more frequently", causing "innumerable annoyances and inconveniences and without any consideration to small businesses and residents." This group has insisted that the traffic cuts occur "without prior notice and without offering alternative access with adequate signage."

They are carried out to favor the celebration of events that, "at least on numerous occasions, could very well be held in other more appropriate places," according to them. "The damages caused by these closures are enormous as they materially prevent, with fences, access to the parking lot of the Multicines Atlántida and its surroundings where it has several businesses," he insists.

The management of the Spínola Group is unaware of what type of interests this type of decision responds to, but they understand that they represent "a clear obstacle to the commercial growth of Arrecife as it is unlikely that prestigious commercial companies will decide to establish themselves in the center of a city that cannot be accessed, with potential buyers logically preferring to go to other commercial areas."
