The Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism of Lanzarote have published the regulatory bases for the granting of corporate social responsibility aid and sponsorships worth two million euros to initiatives of a social, cultural, sporting and tourist promotion nature, whose projects can be submitted until April 30.
The Councilor of the Centers, Ángel Vázquez, has explained that once this budget item is exhausted, “new contributions may be made to the aforementioned bases throughout the year depending on the profits generated by our activity”.
Last year, the Centers invested 3.5 million in corporate social responsibility, so it is foreseeable that the amount for this purpose will increase throughout 2026.
The two million budgeted until the end of April are divided into 1.3 million for social action lines and 700,000 euros for sponsorships that support “projects of a cultural, sports, and tourism promotion nature, as well as the publication of new works, research, and other specific events”.
“We are increasing our contribution to entities, groups, and associations that work to make Lanzarote a better island,” declared Vazquez, who has also announced the launch of an informative session to facilitate the submission of applications.
The aforementioned bases, explains Vázquez, "define the requirements and guarantee the appropriate legal framework for managing this social support mechanism in a transparent, objective, and coherent manner," explained Vázquez.
The aid will be channeled through the Corporate Social Responsibility department (CSR), created at the beginning of the current legislature with the aim of reinvesting a portion of the profits generated by the Entity's tourism activity on the island through projects promoted by individuals, entities, associations, and groups. "It is our way of helping to build the island."
Carnival Aid
Action line 11, aimed at promoting Popular Manifestations of Tourist Interest, regulates, among other actions, the granting of aid to groups and individuals who make up the Carnival of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Complete information on this line and the participation procedure will be available through a link enabled on the Entity's electronic headquarters.
With this investment, the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism "reinforce their commitment to a way of managing tourism that directly benefits people, the social fabric, and the cultural expressions that give meaning to Lanzarote and La Graciosa".
