The El Grifo winery has been recognized at the Bacchus 2021 international wine competition. Specifically, it has been the only one in the Canary Islands to achieve two Bacchus de Oro, for its George Glass and Moscatel de Ana wines, and also one of Silver for its Malvasía Seco Colección.
In this competition, Bodegas Martinón has also been awarded, obtaining a Silver Bacchus for its 100% Malvasía Dry White wine.
The Bacchus International Wine Competition is the only competition in Spain recognized by the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine), opening its registration to wines from all over the world. Four days in which the more than 1,500 participating wines and a hundred tasters turn Madrid into the world capital of wine.
The jury of the Bacchus Awards is made up of Masters of Wine, prescribers, journalists, Masters of Sommelier and oenologists. A team of top-level national and international professional judges. In this way, their independence and experience guarantee the Bacchus medals.
