Canaryfly has decided to temporarily suspend all its flights between the islands from January 11 to March 21, due to "the current restrictions on mobility and, above all, due to the considerable decrease in ticket sales."

"The current situation regarding the Covid19 pandemic continues to force the extension of prevention and containment measures, including certain restrictions on inter-island transport. There are many regular passengers who, due to the pandemic, have stopped flying. Canarians have stopped traveling for pleasure or leisure and only travel between islands when it is strictly necessary. This has generated a notable decrease in the occupation of practically all our flights in recent months,” explains the general director of the Canarian airline, Régulo Andrade.

"The temporary suspension of operations is therefore necessary now in order to restore normality from Easter onwards. We need to stop now so that, from March 22, we can return to performing at 100%, as our passengers deserve and expect from us,” he adds.

Canaryfly also wanted to convey a message of tranquility to all passengers who have a ticket for any of its flights between January 11 and March 21. “All our passengers will be attended to, offering them either relocation to fly on the same scheduled date, or offering maximum flexibility to make changes to their tickets. None of our passengers will lose their money,” said the general director of Canaryfly, without referring to the possibility of refunds.
