Banco Santander and the Chambers of Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura announce the seventh edition of the SME of the Year Award of the province of Las Palmas, in collaboration with the Cámara de España and the newspaper La Provincia.
The objective of this contest is to recognize the work of small and medium-sized companies as generators of wealth and creators of employment in the performance of their daily work.
The deadline for submitting applications for the SME of the Year 2023 award begins on March 1 and will close at 7:00 p.m. (Canarian time) on April 14.
All small and medium-sized companies in the province with less than 250 employees and with a turnover of less than 50 million euros at the close of the 2022 financial year that have their registered office in the province of Las Palmas can participate in this new call.
In addition to the election of the SME of the Year, the jury may award four runner-up prizes in the categories of Internationalization, Innovation and Digitalization, Training and Employment, and Sustainable SME.
The winning company will compete for the National SME of the Year 2023 Award, which will be announced in the first quarter of 2024. Likewise, the companies winning the different runner-up prizes will compete for the National Award in their respective categories.
How to participate?
Interested companies must fill in the registration form that they will find on the website of the Chamber of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, the Chamber of Gran Canaria and the Chamber of Fuerteventura, where they can also consult the rules of the contest.
In its deliberations, the jury will assess merits such as the creation of employment, with special attention to permanent employment; training actions for employees; the internationalization of the company; digitization and innovation initiatives, as well as the sustainable projects in which they have participated.
