Bodegas El Grifo has been awarded twice in the 28th edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. This international wine competition has awarded the Lanzarote winery with a Gold Medal for its Malvasía Volcánica Lías 2018 and a Silver Medal for its Tinto Colección 2019.
Some 10,000 wines from 46 producing countries participated this year in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Luxembourg from June 17 to 27. For 9 days, more than 300 international judges took turns tasting the wines entered in the competition. These have awarded medals to wines from 40 different countries; with France (672) being the country with the highest number of awards, followed by Spain (507), Italy (389) and Portugal (335).
With almost 2,000 Spanish wines presented, the Concours confirms its position as the largest showcase of the diversity of Spanish viticulture, which has achieved, in addition to golds and silvers, 18 Grand Gold Medals, placing Spain just behind France and ahead of Italy for the quality of its wines.
