The Parliament of the Canary Islands has inaugurated this Monday the exhibition 'Illustrators & Illustrated 4', an exhibition composed of 105 paintings with a varied range of artistic styles under the prism of more than a hundred of the islands' artists. This is the fourth edition of this project organized by the Cine+Comics Foundation, which celebrates four years in the exhibition hall of the Chamber, through which the names of more than 500 island artists have passed.

The inauguration was presided over by the Second Vice-President of the Bureau, Gustavo Matos, who pointed out that "with this exhibition, the Parliament fulfills its mission of being a meeting place where anyone who wishes to contribute something to this dialogue with the citizens is welcome". "This artistic view of women that we see in each painting of this exhibition, vindicates their role in a sector that has been historically masculinized, and that is the result of this century in which we live the revolution of women," added Matos.

As in previous occasions, the exhibition will have a catalog where all the works are reproduced. Lucas Morales, director of the Cine+Comics Foundation, explained that the work of the exhibition is to make visible the work of the Canarian authors who have already gathered in its four editions the works of half a thousand artists residing in the islands.
Rafael Yanes, outgoing Deputy of the Common, added that "'Illustrators & Illustrated', which began in 2021 with the impulse of the Deputation of the Common, and could not be a better way to say goodbye to the mandate as Ombudsman, since this initiative responds to the involvement of this body with the role of women in society".
