The Canary Islands registers 70 new infections and three consecutive days without deaths

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands drops to 32.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it decreases to 74.63 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 70 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total number of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 56,272 with 1,841 active, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 206 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

For the third consecutive day, the death of any person has not been reported and the total number of deaths in the islands since the beginning of the pandemic remains at 766, of which 424 have been in Tenerife; 268 in Gran Canaria; 49 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 in La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.

The Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands drops to 32.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days decreases to 74.63 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,134,236 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 2,495 correspond to the last 24 hours.

By islands, Tenerife adds 40 new infections with a total of 24,681 accumulated cases and 1,121 epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 22,584 accumulated cases, 13 more than the previous day, and 453 active; Lanzarote adds 5 new cases with 5,493 accumulated and 203 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura adds 9 infections and has 2,343 accumulated cases and 51 active.

La Palma adds two new infections and the accumulated cases rise to 565 accumulated, with 11 active; El Hierro does not register new cases and continues with 371 and only 1 active, and La Gomera, after many days without registering infections, adds a new one and its accumulated cases rise to 234.
