Canary Islands adds 117 cases in the last 24 hours and does not have to regret deaths

The Canary Islands has added 117 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total number of accumulated cases in the archipelago rises to 56,108, and does not have to regret new deaths, so the number of deaths stands at 766 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Regarding the active cases, there are currently 1,777 (+51), of which 43 remain admitted to the ICU (-2), 208 are hospitalized (-7) and 1,526 are at home (+60). In addition, 53,565 people have overcome the disease so far after receiving medical discharge 66 canaries.

For its part, the Accumulated Incidence (IA) at 7 days. in the Canary Islands stands at 35.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is 77.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

Until this Friday, a total of 1,129,216 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 59,255 have been positive, representing 5.25 percent of the total.

By islands, Tenerife adds 72 new infections and accumulates 24,584 cases, of which 1,037 cases are epidemiologically active, 424 have died and 23,123 have overcome the disease; while Gran Canaria has 22,555 accumulated cases (+19), of which 445 are active, 268 have died and 21,842 have been discharged from the hospital.

Lanzarote, meanwhile, accumulates 5,476 cases (+25), of which 228 are epidemiologically active, 49 have died and 5,199 have overcome the virus; Fuerteventura accumulates 2,325 (+1), of which 47 are active, 13 have died and 2,265 have been discharged from the hospital.

Also, La Palma remains with a total of 563 cases, of which 19 are active cases, seven have died and 537 have overcome the disease; El Hierro remains with an accumulated 371 cases, of which one is active, four have died and 366 have been discharged from the hospital.

Finally, La Gomera continues with 233 accumulated cases and currently has no active cases, although its record since the beginning of the pandemic includes one deceased person and 232 have been discharged from the hospital.
