Canary Islands adds 113 new cases, 73 of them in Tenerife, in a day without deaths

The Canary Islands has added 113 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands already rises to 55,458, in a day in which no new deaths have been registered, leaving the number of deaths at 764 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Regarding the active cases, there are currently 2,026 (+69), of which 50 remain admitted to the ICU (+3), 224 are hospitalized (-7) and 1,752 are at home (+73). In addition, 52,668 people have overcome the disease so far after 44 ​​Canarians were discharged.

For its part, the Accumulated Incidence (IA) at 7 days is located in the Canary Islands at 41.68 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 81.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

To date, a total of 1,113,343 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 58,715 have been positive, representing 5.27 percent of the total.

By islands, Tenerife adds 73 new infections and accumulates 24,236 accumulated cases, of which 1,228 cases are epidemiologically active, 422 have died and 22,586 have overcome the disease; while Gran Canaria has 22,405 accumulated cases (+18), of which 521 are active, 268 have died and 21,616 have been discharged.

Lanzarote, meanwhile, accumulates 5,352 cases (+16), of which 222 are epidemiologically active, 49 have died and 5,081 have overcome the virus; Fuerteventura accumulates 2,301 (+5), of which 29 are active, 13 have died and 2,259 have been discharged.

Likewise, La Palma has a total of 559 cases (+1), of which 21 are active cases, seven have died and 531 have overcome the disease; El Hierro remains with an accumulated 371 cases, of which three are active, four have died and 364 have been discharged.

Finally, La Gomera remains with 233 accumulated cases, of which two are active, one person has died and 230 have been discharged.
