Wrappers, plastic bags and containers pile up in the lots of the Argana industrial area. This is the complaint that a citizen wanted to make public through La Voz de Lanzarote, as he considers that the state of that part of the city is "a disgrace".

"This is not a private lot where people throw garbage, this is a public area and in an area where a lot of public passes through, because it is next to the supermarket area," he explains. There are industrial and commercial surfaces located there and others are under construction, such as the future Decathlon store.

The plots are also located next to the Arrecife Ring Road. This is also highlighted by this reader, who regrets that "all the cars" that circulate there "can see this image, more typical of a third world territory than of a city". "This is the image that all the tourists who pass through that road take with them and see that garbage dump of bags and things. Those responsible for the municipality should be ashamed to see this image in Arrecife."
