A reader has contacted La Voz to report the presence of several dead doves in the Parque de Los Pinos in the Titerroy neighborhood of Arrecife.
Specifically, the neighbor assures that 17 birds of this type have appeared lifeless throughout the park.
The cause of these deaths is not clear, as it could be an infection or an intentional death. In addition, these birds can transmit infectious diseases to humans that trigger lung damage, pneumonia, hepatitis or a brain condition.
Also, their feathers, excrement and other parts of this animal can contain fungi, bacteria and parasites.
