Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote rescues a point in their visit to the stronghold of Salma Adesal Córdoba, who has not lost a single match at home this season, after losing a 5-goal advantage that they achieved in an almost perfect first half. This draw does not alter the team's plans, although it adjusts the distance that separates them from their pursuers.

The match began with an inspired Adesal, but soon Zonzamas took the initiative and after the first probes, Luana Schallmey on the counterattack and Brenda Roger were in charge of putting land in between with a (3-7, min 13). The Lanzarote defense showed solidity, although in attack the team suffered some precipitation that prevented them from further specifying the advantage that was seen between both teams.

To try to stop the visiting advance, Adesal opted for a more open defense with Lucía Vacas advanced, complicating the circulation of the ball to Zonzamas. This allowed the locals to cut differences with a penalty (7-9, min 19). Juan José Rivera, coach of Zonzamas, requested a time-out in minute 20 to reorganize his team, and the response was positive. With goals from Gleinys Reyes and Agustina López, the Lanzarote team escaped again (10-14, min. 25). The first half concluded with 11-16, leaving Zonzamas in a position of control.

The break suited Adesal better, who came out more intense and began to cut distances with a 4-0 partial (17-18, min. 39) that arrived when the locals needed it most. Zonzamas, without clarity in attack, got stuck against the Cordovan defense and completely lost control of the match.

The locals took advantage of the positive inertia and, with key recoveries from Lucía Vacas and Fátima Acuña, managed to turn the score around (22-20, min. 50). With Zonzamas completely lost in attack, Adesal seemed to be heading for victory. However, in the final minutes, Juan José Rivera's team knew how to take advantage of the rivals' mistakes when they emptied the goal to attack with one more player on the court. Three goals into an empty net allowed the Lanzarote team to equalize the match (25-25, min. 58) and force an open ending. In the last minute, both teams scored one more goal, leaving the final score at 26-26 after a duel of maximum intensity.

With this draw, Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote continues to lead the classification, although its advantage over the second classified is reduced to five points. For its part, Adesal Córdoba continues in the fight for promotion, adding a point that could be key in its aspirations. Zonzamas' next challenge will be at home, next Saturday, March 29, against Grupo USA Mislata, where they will seek to regain victory and maintain their path to promotion.
