Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife continues to resist victory in the second part of the season in the Men's Silver Honor Division, tying in the last match against Amenabar Zarautz ZKE. The locals from Lanzarote were always ahead on the scoreboard, but they saw how the team from Gipuzkoa tied the match in the last action of the game, by converting a seven-meter shot.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife faced the match with some absences in its squad, not being able to count on Samuel Trives with Mauro Jaureguiberry due to injury and with Acoidán Martín due to illness. Two absences that meant that the team had fewer rotations, and the rest of the teammates had to make an extra effort.

From the first moment, Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was in charge of taking the initiative on the scoreboard. The locals from Lanzarote came to have a maximum lead of two goals in this first part, an advantage that was recorded in several phases of the first part. The first part ended with a goal from Óscar Silva, penetrating through the center of the defense to make it 14 to 15 with which they reached the break.

In the first minutes of the second half, Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife increased the difference to three goals. Joel Armas from the left wing made it 15 to 18 on the scoreboard. Amenabar Zarautz ZKE was not willing to let the rival leave, equaling the forces again on the playing field. The equality on the scoreboard was maintained until the final minutes of the match.

In the last attacking play of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, Abián Martín forced a penalty and Javi Aragón converted the seven-meter shot to make it 26 to 27. Anenabar Zarautz also forced a penalty in the last play and with time almost up, Beñat Manterola converted the seven-meter shot to rescue a point.

With the result of 27 to 27, the match came to an end, with Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife adding an insufficient tie against a direct rival in the fight for permanence. Trops Málaga will be the next rival of the locals from Lanzarote.
