First victory in the Tías ? Yaiza Rally 'Lanzarote Karting San Bartolomé Trophy', also full of emotion, for Aníbal Machín and Pedro Viera. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII team, after accumulating a time of 27:59.8, dominated the race from start to finish, although in the first sections of Saturday the pressure from Antonio Suárez-Jorge Cedrés raised the temperature of an exciting edition.

Machín-Viera won the two sections on Friday, but on Saturday morning they gave up significant time to Suárez-Cedrés. The Porsche 911 GT3 team had substantially reduced the difference with the leaders, but at the decisive moment of the race organized by Club Lavasport, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII team won two specials that put things back as they were the night before. Thus, they arrived in Yaiza, where the spectacular and crowded final section was held, to confirm their first victory in this event after achieving an advantage of 12.3 seconds over the second-placed team.

For their part, Suárez-Cedrés add a new podium to their brilliant record in the Tías ? Yaiza Rally 'Lanzarote Karting San Bartolomé Trophy'. With the pace they have set in this race, they continue to demonstrate their ability to fight for the Lanzarote island title, which this weekend has completed its second race of the year.

The third place on the podium went to a surprising Javier Cañada-Jesús Alonso. The Peugeot 206 XS team, who had already set a second-best time on Friday, were in full battle with Javier Ciprés-Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, until the Renault Clio RS forced them to retire due to a mechanical problem. In this way, Cañada-Alonso were left alone in that fight and conquered a well-deserved podium and victory in Category 3.

Alfredo Guerra and Gabriel Espino took their first victory of the season in the Skoda Fabia Cup, a single-make competition that was included for the first time in the Tías ? Yaiza Rally 'Lanzarote Karting San Bartolomé Trophy'. For them, it was also the first place in Category 4. They surpassed Javier Sosa-Kilian Camacho by 4.8 seconds and Agoney Díaz-Oliver Hernández by 13 seconds.

Ahead of the three 'coppers', and just outside the podium, Rubén Rivera-Cristian Molina finished, tremendously fast with a Peugeot 106 GTI with which they finished in fourth absolute position and as first in Group TA. The top five was signed by the veteran and effective Renault 5 GT Turbo of Camilo González-Daniel Fernández. Finally, Octavio García-Jordi García with a Peugeot 106 Rallye, and Francisco Arráez-José Bolaños on an Opel Corsa GSI, won Category 5 and Group H90, respectively.

The fourth edition of the race organized by Club Lavasport had a significant following from Lanzarote fans and was developed with exquisite punctuality throughout the two days. The municipality of Yaiza hosted the start, the finish, and the different work parks, as well as a final section that put the finishing touch to this second event of the Lanzarote island championship.
