CD Unión Sur Yaiza mathematically confirmed their relegation to the Third Federation of football this Sunday after drawing at home with CD Tenerife B (0-0), in the penultimate matchday of group 5 of the Second Federation.

The Lanzarote team couldn't overcome the white and blue reserve team, which had numerous opportunities to score at the Municipal de Yaiza, but showed an alarming lack of aim.

The visiting winger Alassan was responsible for most of the clear chances that Tenerife B missed throughout the match, such as a shot against the post in the 26th minute or a high shot with his left foot, alone in front of the goalkeeper, in the 69th minute.

The Tenerife reserve team had numerous approaches to the goal defended by the Madrid native Adrián Víctores, who responded effectively to shots from Dani Fernández or Alassan himself, in a free kick.

Salifo Caropitche or Cacho were also not successful in front of the local team's goal, which only had one clear opportunity in the first half, in a free kick taken by the Argentinian Emiliano Trovento and cleared to a corner by Aarón Alonso, and another in the second half, with a centered shot from the Gambian striker Nuha Marong, stopped by the Tenerife goalkeeper.

The draw condemns Unión Sur Yaiza to relegation, while the point doesn't do much for Tenerife B either, who say goodbye to their chances of reaching the fifth place in the table to play the promotion playoff.
