CD Unión Sur Yaiza has made the difficult decision to dispense with the services of coach Maxi Barrera, after a meeting held on Tuesday morning between the club's president, Bernardo Povedano, and the Gran Canaria coach himself. Povedano was confident that Maxi Barrera will continue as a fan of the club as "one more verdillo", noting that he will always have the door open at CD Unión Sur Yaiza.
From now on, Dennis Morales will take over the reins of the first team on an interim basis, while the club works on hiring a new coach to take over the technical direction as soon as possible.
