José Antonio Gómez Casado is the first signing with which UD Lanzarote starts the new year 2007. Ambidextrous inside player who usually plays on the right wing, 26 years old, 1.81 tall and 78 kilos in weight, Gómez, comes from Blanes of the Catalan Third Division and has previously played in Burgos, Figueres, Cartagena, Murcia and Hospitalet.
The player was presented on Wednesday afternoon to the media at the Sports City and has been signed until the end of the season. He trained with his teammates in the afternoon session and will possibly be included in the list of players called up for Sunday in Madrid against Cobeña.
Likewise, Lanzarote closed the hiring of Rodolfo Barriocanal Hoorn, born in Switzerland on August 13, 1982, although he has Spanish nationality. He is 1.85 tall and weighs 81 KGs.
Barriocanal has played in Los Boliches, Marbella, Atlético de Madrid B and this year he was in Real Jaen although without a federal license. He is a forceful and aggressive central defender
