UD Lanzarote returns to winning ways, after beating UD Los Llanos de Aridane 3-0, a result that allows them to return to the promotion play-off zone of the Third Federation. Goals from Iván Hujo and Adrián Machín in the final stretch of the first half set up the victory, and Nadjib closed the scoring in the final minutes.
The match started with an intense UD Lanzarote that locked UD Los Llanos de Aridane in their own half of the pitch. A shot from Alex Cruz that was deflected to a corner by the goalkeeper from La Palma, and a header from Adrián Machín in front of goal, were the clearest chances for the Rojillos.
After the first half hour, a powerful shot from Ale Fuentes from the edge of the area crashed against the crossbar, and Iván Hujo picked up the rebound to make it 1-0. Just three minutes later, Adrián Machín was brought down inside the area by Adil, with the referee pointing to the penalty spot. Adrián Machín himself took the penalty to make it two.
The second half started with another chance for the Rojillos, with Iván Hujo's header from Ayoze's cross going high. UD Los Llanos de Aridane took a step forward and began to generate danger on the goal defended by Ruymán. And with space, UD Lanzarote approached with considerable danger.
UD Lanzarote closed the match in the 89th minute. Nadjib picked up a ball on the right wing, approached the edge of the area and his shot, adjusted to the base of the post, beat Erick's stretch.
