UD Lanzarote returned empty-handed from their visit on Sunday morning to CD Buzanada, missing an opportunity to place themselves alone in second position and seeing how Las Palmas Atlético acquires a six-point advantage in the lead. The red team did not have their day in the Clementina de Bello, not finding a way to overcome the Tenerife team.
The UD Lanzarote expedition arrived late to the stadium, and the referee barely gave time to do a good warm-up. Despite this, it was the Lanzarote team that dominated the first minutes, with Álvaro Iglesias having an opportunity in the 5th minute.
On the edge of half an hour, CD Buzanada took the lead on the scoreboard, with Andy taking advantage of a through ball and beating Ruymán with a crossed shot. The goal made the opponent feel comfortable on the field, and with the 1-0 score, they reached the break.
Socorro made two changes at the beginning of the second half, bringing in Dani Flebes at left back and Ayoze Pérez in the center of the field. CD Buzanada managed to increase the difference in this second half, with Nordin converting a penalty.
UD Lanzarote narrowed the gap in the final stretch of the match, with Alex Cruz culminating a one-on-one with the local goalkeeper. A goal that came too late, without time to at least look for the equalizing goal. With the 2-1 score, the game came to an end.
