UD Lanzarote is going through its best moment of the season, which translates into good results to consolidate its position in the upper zone of the Tercera Federación standings. On Sunday, the Rojillos had the necessary patience to narrowly defeat CD Santa Úrsula and add three points to move into sixth position in the national category standings.

The first half of the match lacked rhythm, with UD Lanzarote unable to speed up their game to overcome the opponent's defensive structure. The best chances fell to the home side, with Ismael Traore's shot going over the bar, Rodrigo's volley going high, and Meca's shot missing the target.

UD Lanzarote injected more speed into their game at the start of the second half, which led to clear chances. Ismael Traore gave the first warning, meeting a good cross from Meca from the right in front of goal, only to be denied by Juanje's save. Five minutes later, Di Renzo tried his luck with a left-footed shot that was repelled by the visiting goalkeeper.

The only goal of the match came in the 62nd minute. In an apparently harmless ball, Rodrigo fought for it against the Santa Úrsula defenders, stole the ball to enter the area, and the Brazilian's shot slipped in next to the post of the goal defended by Juanje.

The goal gave UD Lanzarote peace of mind, while CD Santa Úrsula became increasingly desperate as the minutes passed. The Tenerife side began to hang balls in from the wings, with Ruymán looking very secure under the posts to claim each of those balls.

Narrow victory for UD Lanzarote against CD Santa Úrsula, three points that allow the Rojillos to move into sixth place in the standings and be just one point away from the play-off zone. The next opponent will be UD Ibarra, with the Lanzarote side visiting Villa Isabel in the south of Tenerife.
