The sports management of UD Lanzarote has no rest and works tirelessly to close the squad of the rojillo team for the 2020/2021 season, a campaign in which they will compete again in the Canary group of the Third Division. After the unexpected departure of Miguel Gopar, efforts were focused on finding an organizing midfielder and in the last hours the incorporation of Nando Cozar has been closed.
Fernando Cozar Torres "Nando", born on March 2, 1991 in Cádiz, is a 1.88 meter tall footballer who occupies the position of midfielder on the field. He stands out for being a skillful player with the ball at his feet, in addition to mastering both legs, he can play in more advanced positions and his good ball striking allows him to execute strategy actions.
During his training stage he played in the lower categories of Cádiz and Real Betis, later defending the shirts of teams such as Coria FC, Los Barrios, Chiclana CF and Arcos CF. His last campaign in Spanish football was in the 2014/2015 season, to face a stage in several countries.
He landed in Finland in the 2015/2016 campaign in the ranks of FC Legirus Inter, a team in which he was for a season and a half, later signing for Kokkonan PV. The 2018/219 season was his last campaign in Finland with Helsinki IKF. Last season he started in the ranks of Angkor Tiger of the highest category in Cambodia and finished it in Oygarden FK of Norway.
Nando Cozar is scheduled to arrive on the island of Lanzarote on Tuesday and immediately join the training sessions led by Josu Uribe at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote facilities. The midfielder arrives at the rojillo club to occupy the federative file left vacant by Miguel Gopar, a player who could not continue due to work issues.
