Firefighters extinguished a container fire in Arrecife in the early morning, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The fire occurred around 3:50 AM this Saturday, April 25, on Fayna street in the capital of Arrecife. Local Police officers and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
Police officers were able to remove the containers from around one of the receptacles that was burning completely and secured the area until the arrival of the firefighters,
Emergency personnel extinguished the fire with water and subsequently finished with a wetting agent (water and foam agent). Finally, they verified that there was no possibility of reignition.
The affected containers were one for organic waste that was incinerated and two others for the collection of organic waste and glass recycling were damaged.
