It has taken more than expected to get the first victory of the second round, a triumph that came for UD Lanzarote this Saturday at noon, after defeating Unión Puerto by 1 to 3. The lack of effectiveness of the last matches was left aside and the Rojillos were superior during many phases of the match to their rival. Gonzalo Di Renzo (2) and Isaac were the authors of the goals for the victory.
The match began with the dominance of UD Lanzarote, although the forces on the field were balanced as the minutes passed. Di Renzo generated the first chance for the Rojillos, stealing a ball in the center of the field to stand inside the area, but ran out of strength at the time of the final shot. Three minutes later, Yeray Cruz sent a good pass from Gonzalo Di Renzo high.
In the final minutes of the first half, the match was encouraged. In the 41st minute, Pipo put a ball from the front of the area to leave Gonzalo Di Renzo alone, and his shot ended up crashing into the base of the post. And just a minute later, Keita went down the right wing to win the baseline, and his cross was headed by Gonzalo Di Renzo into the back of the net. With 0 to 1, the break was reached.
Unión Puerto came out better on the field at the beginning of the second half and only took 8 minutes to equalize on the scoreboard. Yared was in charge of executing a corner kick and Iván Sánchez, free of marking, headed into the back of the net.
UD Lanzarote barely took four minutes to get back in front on the scoreboard. The attack was led by Yeray Cruz on the left, giving way
low for the arrival of Gonzalo Di Renzo, and the striker put the toe to beat Nauzet low. A few minutes later, Facu was able to tie with a gallop on the right and the crossed shot went licking the base of the post.
The one that did not forgive was UD Lanzarote in the 79th minute of the match. Ismael Traoré gave way back for the arrival of Isaac and the shot of the left back from the front of the area surpassed the stretch of Nauzet. A good collective play of the Rojillo attack and that served to close the match.
Triumph by 1 to 3 of UD Lanzarote and that serves to add the first victory of the second round in the Third Federation. The Rojillos do not take off from the play-off zone of promotion, and in the next day they visit Villa de Santa Brígida in the Municipal of Los Olivos.
