The women's team of UD Lanzarote is having an extraordinary debut in the Liga Preferente Territorial, leading the standings after winning all twelve matches played to date. The good work of the rojillas has its reward with the call-up of two of the players for the training sessions of the Canary Islands Women's National Team. Ainhoa Delgado and Haimara Cabrera have been called up again with the Canary Islands teams.
Ainhoa Delgado will participate on Tuesday afternoon in the training of the Canary Islands Women's Under-17 National Team (Cadet), a work session that has been scheduled at the Ojos de Garza football field, in Telde. One of the top scorers in the Liga Preferente Territorial Femenina will travel to Gran Canaria and will be under the orders of José Luis Hernández Falcón, technical manager of the national team.
On Wednesday it will be the turn of Haimara Cabrera, a player who has been called up with the Canary Islands Women's Under-15 National Team (Infantil). The training session led by Sergio González "Gary" will take place at the facilities of La Salud, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The UD Lanzarote player will travel to Tenerife on Wednesday at noon.
The two UD Lanzarote players have become regulars in the call-ups of the Canary Islands Women's National Team in recent weeks, having many options to play in the first phase of the National Championship of Autonomous Communities. A prize that comes to them after the excellent start to the season they are starring in with the women's team of UD Lanzarote, leading the standings of the Liga Preferente Territorial.
