CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen has reported the positive result for Covid of two other members of the squad.
According to the club, "after experiencing certain symptoms after the trip to Malaga, a team that already has twelve positive cases among players and coaching staff", the conejera squad underwent the corresponding test, which has resulted in two people testing positive for coronavirus.
CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen states that it proceeded with the protocol established for these cases since it became aware of the positives in Malaga, placing the squad in isolation until the results of the tests were known.
The board of CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen has already requested to postpone the next two Liga Guerreras Iberdrola matches, the first already postponed at the time and corresponding to the eighth matchday, scheduled for February 3 and which would pit the tiñosero team against Club Balonmán Atlético Guardés, as well as the match corresponding to the tenth matchday and which would take Puerto del Carmen to travel next February 6 to face Super Amara Bera Bera.
In this regard, it should be remembered that the match against Club Balonmán Atlético Guardés, which was initially scheduled to be played on January 13, was also suspended after two Covid positives were detected in the CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen squad.
