Lanzarote Racket Club participates in the TOP TT EL ROSARIO

The Lanzarote Racket Club returns to the island with a total of nine medals: five gold medals and four silver medals

Last weekend, September 20th and 21st, the Lanzarote Racket Club traveled to Tenerife to participate in the TOP TTR El Rosario, resuming competitive activity after the summer break. The expedition, made up of 10 players and a coach, traveled with enthusiasm and a great desire to return to the courts.

The members of the expedition were Samyra Méndez, Vera García, Jorge Betancort, Manuel Cabrera, Gorka Miguens, Wendy Chen, Esmeralda Castillo, Aday González, Aduén Betancort, Airam Steux and Inma Duarte (coach).

The outstanding results were: 

In the Under 11 category we achieved gold in mixed doubles

composed of Manuel Cabrera and Vera García were proclaimed champions after an exciting final against the Majorera players Gara López and Mateo Velázquez, with a result of 15-16 / 15-12.
We also obtained a silver in the men's singles where Manuel Cabrera reached the runner-up in an intense final against Álvaro Guadalupe Conejero, with a score of 15-11 / 5-15 / 10-15.

But in the women's singles Vera García once again shone, winning the gold after defeating Ciara García (Tenerife) by 15-9 / 15-11.

In the under 13 category, the pair Airam Steux and Samyra Méndez in the mixed doubles achieved second place after playing a very demanding league, falling in the key match against Marta Siverio and Felipe Pérez (Tenerife) with a result of 21-12 / 21-2.
 

And in the women's singles with a lot of sweat and effort Samyra Méndez returned to the podium by achieving a meritorious silver in a very close final against Marta Siverio, with partial scores of 19-21 / 21-10 / 21-13.

Finally, in the Under 15 category in the mixed doubles modality, the duo Jorge Betancort and Esmeralda Castillo won the gold after a great final won with a score of 21-19 / 21-17.
