The youth academy of CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen continues to reap successes at the end of this season. This time it was the turn of the young players of the Tiñosero club who were proclaimed champions of Lanzarote after beating CB Ajaches last Saturday in the Municipal of Tías (8-25).
The triumph of the young players adds to the runner-up of the Canary Islands and qualification for the Spanish Championship of the youth and the island championship and runner-up of the cadets.
The match of the Tiñosera youth players did not have much history. In the lead from the beginning, the Ajaches players reached halftime with a considerable disadvantage on the scoreboard (7-18). The second part would only serve to widen the distances in the scoreboard of the Tías Pavilion.
Sara El Guerrab was the top scorer for CB Ajaches with 4 goals while Iría Cedrés became the top scorer for the Tiñoseras and the match with 11 goals, well accompanied in the offensive facet by Daniela Lemes with another 6 goals.
