The youths of Club Lucha Tao and Club Lucha San Bartolomé, paid tribute on Thursday afternoon to the figure of Suso Cejas, one of the people who was always linked to the world of Canarian wrestling in the town of Tahíche. A good fight that could be seen in the municipal arena of Tahíche and that brought together a good number of spectators to follow the evolutions of the young values of Canarian wrestling in Lanzarote. Wrestlers from CL Guadarfía Arrecife and CL Unión Norte, reinforced the two teams. CL Tao prevailed 13-10 in the friendly match.
Kilián Arráez scored the first point on the CL Tao scoreboard by giving Henesey Bastido the two in a row. CL San Bartolomé turned the score around with the contribution of Aidán Falcón who fight by fight beat Francisco Pérez and Diego Navarro did the same with Zebenzui García. The equality on the scoreboard continued in the following matches, reaching the halfway point of the fight with a six-way tie. In the ranks of CL Tao, Jean Pierre eliminated Diego Navarro, José Alberto Morales gave Steven Hernández the two in a row and eliminated Iriome Bastida and Miguel Reyes gave Amado Aguilar the two in a row. In CL San Bartolomé, Alberto González scored two points by eliminating Kilián Arráez and Pedro Cabrera, and Amado Aguilar left Jean Pierre Moreno out of the fight.
Miguel Reyes was the top tumbler of the afternoon and contributed two new points by giving Cristian Tabares and Alberto González the two in a row, and Ezequiel Sánchez in the ranks of CL Tao eliminated Andrés Tejera. CL San Bartolomé tied the score at nine with the contribution of Tinguaro de León who eliminated Ezequiel Sánchez, Cristian Clavijo fight by fight left Adrián Luzardo out of the fight and gave José Alberto Morales the two in a row.
CL Tao gained a two-point advantage. Hacomar Elvira gave Tinguaro de León the two in a row and Cristo Betancort did the same with Cristian Clavijo. Alejandro Tejera reduced the differences by winning fight by fight against Miguel Reyes. And the last two points of the fight were contributed by Hacomar Elvira and Cristo Betancort, leaving Aidán Falcón and Alejandro Tejera out of the fight, respectively.
The XIV Suso Cejas Memorial concluded with the victory of CL Tao by 13 to 10 against CL San Bartolomé, a match that served to honor one of the people who worked the most for the projection of Canarian wrestling on the island of Lanzarote in general and in the town of Tahíche in particular.
