The most successful team of the past season in the world of Canarian wrestling has already started rolling. The CL Tao Cicar was presented at the Andrés Curbelo "Pollo de Tao" arena and the fans were able to meet all the members of the team. A special year for Tao, it celebrates its 75th anniversary and is preparing commemorative events.
The future stars of Canarian wrestling were the first to jump into the arena. The members of the Benjamin team paraded through the sand of the Andrés Curbelo "Pollo de Tao" arena and then the wrestlers of the Alevín, Infantil, Cadet, Youth and Senior categories were presented. In total 77 wrestlers make up the different categories of CL Tao.
The president of the entity, Francisco Díaz Torres, welcomed each of the wrestlers on his team and encouraged them to continue in the season that is about to begin. Also present at the CL Tao presentation ceremony were Leandro Morales, president of the Lanzarote Canarian Wrestling Federation, and Juan Pedro Hernández, mayor of Teguise. Juan Pedro pledged to continue helping Canarian wrestling.
One of the most emotional moments of the night came with the tribute received by the youth wrestlers. Both CL Tao and the Teguise City Council recognized the successes achieved by the youth team. Last season, for the first time in history, a team from the island of Lanzarote was proclaimed champion of the Canary Islands Government League in the youth category, with CL Tao being in charge of taking the champion title to its showcases.
In the acknowledgments chapter, CL Tao presented a plaque to the company Cicar for the important collaboration it carries out and it was collected by Pedro Díaz. The Teguise City Council was recognized for its dedication and collaboration. Next, all the members of CL Tao posed for the graphic media. A family photo that will remain for posterity.
The fans who came to the Andrés Curbelo "Pollo de Tao" arena were able to enjoy an entertaining fight. CL Tao faced Maxorata from Fuerteventura. The verdiblancos won by 12 to 11 against the majoreros.
75th anniversary
Club Lucha Tao is preparing different events to commemorate its 75th anniversary. Some events that will take place from November 16 to 20. On those dates, the book of the club's history will be presented and which is being prepared by José Luis Aparicio and Bernardo Bravo.
As a culmination to the events of the 75th anniversary, CL Tao is preparing a fight that will bring together fighters who have paraded through the club and who will be reinforced by prominent struts. A fight that can be followed throughout the Canary Islands, through the broadcast that will be carried out by Canary Television.
