The Haría Extreme Lanzarote will pay tribute to the artist César Manrique in its ninth edition. The runner's t-shirt, created by Sport HG in coordination with the César Manrique Foundation, will refer to the centenary of his birth (1919-2019) and the popular architecture of Lanzarote.
From the organization of the Haría Extreme they affirm to share with César Manrique his values "as a pioneer of universal culture in the field of relations between art and nature and in environmental and territorial sustainability." "A unique creator who practiced the integration of the arts in large natural spaces. A great critical and proactive conscience that turned an island, Lanzarote, into a work of art," they point out.
The ninth edition of the Haría Extreme Lanzarote will take place this weekend and, as always, will be celebrated presenting a sporting dispute that ensures excitement in its five distances? Cicar Ultra, Naviera Armas Marathon, Medium, Geoparque Starter and Aloe Plus Lanzarote Kid´s Extreme.
The starting gun for the events that make up the program will be fired this Thursday, November 14, at 4:00 p.m., the Extreme Fair and the collection of bib numbers and chips. It will be followed on Friday by the Aloe Plus Lanzarote Kid´s Extreme, the most emotional modality, which will feature the participation of 200 children between the ages of 3 and 15. The departures of the other modalities will take place on Saturday, November 16. All distances will have the starting line in the municipality of Haría except for the 95-kilometer Cicar Ultra, which will do so for the first time from the beautiful enclave of Femés. This distance covers the island of Lanzarote almost in its entirety.
Those who come to the municipality of Haría on Saturday can also enjoy a spectacular festive atmosphere from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with awards ceremony, craft market, children's and tapas area and concerts by Antonella, DJ Maxi, Fab Beatles, Skatoons, Aloe Groove and Graduado Escolar.
