The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and the Club Deportivo Pingüinos kicked off the eighth edition of the "Lanzarote Sincro Campus" last Wednesday.
This edition features the participation of swimmers Gemma Mengual, who has 2 silvers at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, 19 medals at world championships between 2003 and 2009, and 15 medals at European championships between 200 and 2008; sisters Noortje and Bregje Brouwe, who put the Netherlands on the map of artistic swimming by finishing ninth at the Tokyo Olympics; Lara Cabello, 2006 European runner-up and technical director of CD Pingüinos; and Alba Cabello, who won 2 silver medals at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, bronze in London 2012, 7 medals at world swimming championships between 2007 and 2013, and 10 medals at European championships between 2006 and 2016.
The activities are held in the pool of Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise until next Saturday, and feature the participation of 46 athletes from Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Galicia, Barcelona and Lanzarote. On the same day of the completion, from 09 to 10.30 hours, a master class will be held with Gemma Mengual.
For this high-level event, the organization has the collaboration and sponsorship, among others, of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Lanzarote Biosphere Reserve, Lanzarote La Isla Diferente and European Sports Destination.
