The second edition of the Puerto del Carmen Music Night Run night race, sponsored by the Tías City Council, will take place on April 5 from the promenade next to the Seaside Los Jameos hotel with a sporting and festive atmosphere, as it will include concerts, DJs, zumba, salsa and body pump.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, attended these days together with the Councilor for Sports, Ismael Cruz, the joint presentation of this sporting event, which will be held later in Haría, Playa Blanca and Santa Cruz de La Palma under the organization of the company Summits Sports Events.
The event offers several official distances of the Music Run Night Series in which it is included, 10 kilometers, 5 km and 1.6 km. It incorporates the Inclusive Diverse modality for people with a disability certificate and will hold a children's race from 4 to 13 years old on April 4. The registration period remains open through the website.
"From the Tías City Council we continue to support events that promote a healthy lifestyle, promote sports tourism and boost our local economy. The Music Run Night is a perfect example of how sport can go hand in hand with leisure, attracting both residents and visitors," said the first mayor.
Ismael Cruz specified that "after the success of last year, with 600 participants and 20 volunteers, in addition to numerous public, this sporting event continues to consolidate. It is a unique race that offers an unforgettable experience in a privileged environment."
Cruz stressed that this event "will not only promote sports practice, but will also contribute to the positioning of Puerto del Carmen as an attractive tourist destination." The day will end with the awards ceremony and the performance of the RikaBanda orchestra.
