The base of the Magec Tías Sports Club is taking a break from the island competitions and taking advantage of the Easter break to carry out various stages outside the island of Lanzarote. As usual, the different Magec Tías teams make cultural trips throughout the season, playing in different tournaments. The players in the pre-mini and mini-basket categories have traveled to Almería and the members of the pre-youth and youth categories have traveled to Prague.
The teams in the pre-minibasket and minibasket categories have left for Almería to play in the VIII Adaba Easter Basketball Tournament, in El Toyo (Almería). An event that brings together 900 players from 17 clubs from all over Spain, with the presence in previous years of professional scouts who are probing the future stars of national basketball.
The VIII Adaba Easter Basketball Tournament is played both in the El Toyo Pavilion and in the surrounding areas. This event is a must for Lidl Magec Tías, being proclaimed last year minibasket champion of the men's and women's category.
The tournament near Cabo de Gata is not the only front where CD Magec Tías is, with a youth and pre-youth expedition traveling to Prague on Monday. The Magec Tías teams will participate in the twentieth edition of the Easter Eurobasket 2017, a tournament that hosts 118 teams from 28 countries. In addition, the members of Magec Tías will have the opportunity to get to know the capital of the Czech Republic.
The male youth team will play the previous phase against ASE Paks and SSK KAC Jednota Kosice. The pre-youth team will face BK Krapuly, TYDAM UPJS Kosice, Sokol Kberly and Basket Valmez. In the women's category, the youth players will play with Basket Slovanka and Stuttgart Eagles. And the pre-youth players will play the tournament against BA Sparta Prague, ZKD Irilija, SK Bruntal and Basket Ostrava.
