Tuesday was a special day for the current champion of the European Union. Robert Hilario "Tiburón" visited the facilities of the ADISLAN Association in Tahíche and Tinguafaya in Arrecife, to meet both monitors and students and spend a relaxed time. An enjoyable day in which "Tiburón" managed to put a smile on the faces of the disabled people who come daily to these two associations and who receive therapy from the professionals and volunteers who work in both.
The boxer brought with him the belts of the Spanish Championship, the Mediterranean and the European Union and explained to the members of Tinguafaya and ADISLAN how they work to get them and what boxing is for him. The students not only had the opportunity to be with the boxer but could even touch and even wear the belts.
Mariano Hilario "Tiburón" also gave away photographs of himself to those present who did not hesitate to ask him for an autograph and have a souvenir of the occasion. Many even showed interest in this weekend's evening to attend it. Next Saturday "Tiburón" puts the European Union champion belt at stake against the Italian Roberto Cocco. An evening that will be held in the Municipal Pavilion of Teguise from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31.
"It has been a very positive experience," commented "Tiburón" on leaving, while thanking those responsible for the visited centers for the good time spent, adding, "I would like to be able to return after the fight and do a training session or something different here, because these people deserve it."
The members of the Association of Disabled People of Lanzarote and Tinguafaya thanked with a strong applause and even with hugs and handshakes the presence of Robert Hilario "Tiburón", who thus demonstrates that you can be an elite athlete and be available to help publicize and promote the work of associations such as ADISLAN and Tinguafaya.
