This Easter, from March 26 to 30, the first International Freediving campus will be held in Lanzarote and is led by Pipín Ferreras, world champion in various modalities of this sport (on 25 occasions).

The Tourism Councilor of the Teguise City Council, Antonio Callero, supported this proposal from the beginning since it is held in Costa Teguise at the Hotel Vitalclass Lanzarote Sport & Wellness Resort ****, in whose facilities is the exclusive headquarters and presidency for Europe and Africa of the Deep Quest Institute federation, and is in line with the promotion of the municipality that wants to differentiate itself in the tourism market through sports.

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, wants to congratulate the businessmen of Costa Teguise who are making a determined commitment to organizing quality sporting events, work that, together with that carried out by the City Council, allows Teguise to position itself as an idyllic place for any practice, especially maritime ones.

During the campus, two freediving courses will be taught, one initial level and the second in the instructor category that will accredit students with the official certification of Deep Quest Institute, one of the most prestigious freediving federations in the world. There will also be a seminar given by Pipín Ferreras and Juscelina Nina Melo (new promise in the world of freediving).

The president of the Federation for Europe and Africa, Ronny Roskosch, points out that Spain is one of the main countries worldwide with the most fans of freediving and spearfishing. In addition, it has the help for this campus with the Hotel Vitalclass, which has more than 40,000 square meters of accommodation and sports facilities. This hotel confirms its commitment to this practice by postulating itself as the headquarters of the Federation and also incorporates into its diving project Active Scuba Divers certified with the highest category.

The event is organized by the Hotel Vitalclass Lanzarote Sport & Wellness Resort ****, the Deep Quest Institute federation and the Active Scuba Divers Padi 5* IDC Dive Resort Diving Center.
