CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife faced a new day in the Women's Gold Honor Division at noon on Sunday, receiving Grupo USA H. Mislata at the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion. The players of San José Obrero jumped onto the court with the lesson well learned, not trusting the rival's qualifying situation at any time, and playing a serious game to end up winning 32-19.

CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife took the initiative in the game from the first moment, putting the 2-0 on the scoreboard with goals from Thalyta Almeida and Leticia Cobo. During a good part of the first half, the Lanzarote team maintained a three-goal lead in their favor, with Grupo USA H. Mislata holding on to prevent the locals from taking off on the scoreboard.

Near the equator of the first half, two goals from Beatriz Masseu put the 10-5 on the scoreboard, forcing the Mislata coach to request the first timeout. After the instructions from the bench, Leticia Cobo increased the difference with a precise lob from the six-meter line. The score was 16-9 at the end of the first half.

CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife sealed the match in the first minutes of the second half, a period that started with a 7-1 partial in favor of the locals in the first seven minutes (23-10). Shortly after, the coach of Grupo USA H. Mislata had to request the second timeout of the match when the score was 25-11.

Until the end of the match, CICAR Lanzarote did not lift its foot off the accelerator against a Grupo USA H. Mislata that held on as best it could on the court. David Betancort gave minutes to all his players, trying not to overload the physical wear and tear too much.

With the score of 32 to 19, the match came to an end, a victory that allows CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife to be placed in the third position and one point away from the direct promotion zone. San José Obrero now faces two matches away from home, visiting Uneatlántico Pereda and Balonmano Ikasa Boadilla in the next two weeks.
