San Bartolomé CF defeats UD San Fernando with a stunning goal by Aco (1-0)

San Bartolomé CF achieved a victory of enormous value at the Pedro Espinosa "Colón", defeating UD San Fernando 1-0, one of the strongest teams in the category. A spectacular goal by Aco, together with an impeccable defensive performance, allowed the batatero team to add three fundamental points in their fight to stabilize in the standings.

On a cold afternoon in San Bartolomé, the match started with two teams well positioned on the field, each with very clear objectives. UD San Fernando, a historic team in the category, arrived with the ambition of staying in the fight for the leadership, while San Bartolomé took to the field with the need to add points to move away from the bottom zone.

This context translated into a very tactical first half with few scoring chances. The game predominated in the center of the field, with both teams being cautious and not taking too many risks. San Bartolomé managed to completely neutralize their rival, which allowed them to reach halftime with the certainty that they were playing a very serious game and that, with patience, they could find their opportunity.

The second half started with the same equality, until the 65th minute when the key moment of the match arrived. Doramas, very active on the wing, put a precise cross into the area, where Aco appeared to execute a spectacular scissor kick. His powerful and precise volley went in like a missile at ground level into Fermín's goal, without the goalkeeper being able to do anything to prevent it.

A high-quality goal that, in addition to opening the scoring, meant Aco's first goal of the season, in the first match of the second round.

After the goal, San Bartolomé CF demonstrated a great ability to manage the match. They knew how to slow down the pace and contain the attacks of UD San Fernando, who tried to react in the final minutes. Despite Doramas' expulsion in the final stretch for a second yellow card, the batateros maintained order and defensive solidity, without conceding clear chances to their rival.

The visiting team's attempts were reduced to set-piece actions and corner kicks, but time and again the rojiblanca defense proved impenetrable, signing an impeccable match in defensive tasks.

This triumph allows San Bartolomé to add three fundamental points in their fight to get out of the bottom zone, placing them in thirteenth position and three points above the relegation places.

The team led by José Labrador now faces a new challenge, with the visit next week to Arucas CF, at the Municipal Manuel Pablo de Bañaderos. A key match to continue with this good dynamic and continue adding points in a second round that promises to be exciting.
