The final of the X Agapito Reyes Viera Tournament had to be resolved from the penalty spot. Unión Sur Yaiza and San Bartolomé tied at zero at the end of 90 minutes and it was the batatera squad that was more successful from the penalty spot. San Bartolomé, after scoring all their shots, was proclaimed champion of the tournament.

The match in general terms was soporific, with hardly any goal chances and both teams showing very thick ideas. The first part of the match was boring and in which the goalkeepers were mere spectators. Most of the chances died in the vicinity of the area and the defenses prevailed over the attacks.

The match did not have a clear dominator during the first half. The game took place in the center of the field, an area in which the players worked hard to take control of the game. With the score tied at zero, the first 45 minutes came to an end.

At the beginning of the second half, Unión Sur Yaiza gave its game a greater rhythm. The changes made by Juan Antonio Machín took effect and Yaiza gradually took control of the situation. In the 57th minute, a cross from Juanjo from the right wing was headed by Ubay and the ball went excessively wide.

The best chance for Unión Sur Yaiza in the second half came in the 73rd minute. Yeray was in charge of executing a corner kick, Jonay headed the ball at the near post and when the ball seemed to be sneaking into the goal, a defender cleared the danger on the same goal line. An action that was protested by the southern players, who understood that the ball crossed the goal line and there were even those who claimed possible hands from the defender when clearing the ball.

As the end of the match approached, the pace of the game faded. In addition, the match did not have too much continuity due to the large number of fouls that were committed. The match was doomed to penalty kicks and with the score tied at zero, the 90 minutes came to an end.

San Bartolomé was more successful from the penalty spot, while Ubay committed the only mistake in the ranks of Unión Sur Yaiza. David Alonso, Ito, Cristo, Ayoze and Toñito, scored the five shots of their team. San Bartolomé takes the tenth edition of the Agapito Reyes Viera Tournament to its showcases.

At the conclusion of the match, the trophy presentation took place. In the act, as every year, the relatives of Agapito Reyes Viera were present
