More than 600 runners from Europe participated in the second edition of this trial

Haría has once again been the epicenter of the "best" European trail this weekend with the celebration of the second edition of Haría Titán. On Friday, the little ones were the stars in the “Chinij@ Trail” with different circuits adapted by age. On Saturday, the three adult race modalities were held, in which more than 600 runners from all over the continent participated.

The Plaza de Haría was once again dressed in black and orange to welcome participants and companions in a magnificent sports day. Nico Dalcolmo and María del Pilar Sosa were the great winners of this II Haría Titán.

From early Saturday morning, the best trail atmosphere began to be experienced with the arrival of the runners to Haría, who expressed with their faces nervousness and desire to travel the spectacular mountains of northern Lanzarote. At 8:00 a.m. the participants of the 42 km modality started, the queen distance of this edition. The heat, the ascent to Guinate and the ascent to the Volcán de la Corona were the protagonists of this demanding route.

The Swiss Nico Dalcolmo took the victory in the 42KM stopping the clock at 4:15:25. Five minutes later, the local runner Sergio Machín (4:20:28) crossed the finish line. Finally, Carmelo González (4:30:33) closed the men's podium.

In the women's category, the first to arrive at the Plaza de Haría was the runner from Sport Club Puerto Calero, María del Pilar Sosa, who had no rival and always remained at the head of the race. María achieved victory with a time of 5:52:30. The second position was for Georgina Abdul (6:46:50) and the third on the podium was Serena Piganzol (6:49:03).

22 and 14 Kilometers Races

At 09:00 hrs. the participants of 22 km started with the presence of several recognized athletes who were going to be the protagonists of this modality. Herbert Bolaños achieved the triumph in this distance with a final record of 1:56:22. The second position was for Adriá García (1:59:30) and José Manuel León from Tenerife Trail closed the men's podium. Estela Guerra, from Arista Pro Team, took the victory in the women's category with a time of 2:11:51 after a tough dispute with Lara Padrón (2:12:48) and the local athlete Aroa Merino (2:13:58) second and third respectively.

The last to leave from the Plaza de Haría were the participants of the 14 km modality in which experienced runners were mixed with participants who wanted to live their first experience in the trail. In this distance, the first to arrive with a time of 1:03:38 was the runner from Arista Pro Team, Álvaro Escuela. The second place was for Aladdin Bouhania (1:06:18) and Rayco Hernández (1:13:47) climbed on the third drawer. In the women's category, the fastest was Micaela Ruiz from Todo por un Sueño, with a time of 1:27:07. The second to reach the finish line was Ali Hardie (1:28:13) and Elizabet Perdomo (1:29:39) came in third.

The awards ceremony in the Plaza de Haría closed the second edition of the Haría Titán with a very positive assessment from participants and organizers. Everyone eager for the celebration of the III Haría Titán to be announced in a short time. This second edition of the Haría Titán has been sponsored by the Haría City Council, the Island Sports Service of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and European Sports Destination. The northern race also once again had the collaboration of several private companies.
