At 1:00 p.m., from La Rocar beach, the race for the children's, junior and master categories will start, with a total distance of 1,200 meters.

On Saturday morning, within the sports activities of the San Ginés Festivities, a new edition of the San Ginés Crossing is celebrated, one of the oldest open water swimming events in the Canary Islands. An event organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and which in its twenty-ninth edition will have the participation of more than 200 swimmers. The departure will be from La Rocar beach, with the participants passing underneath the emblematic Puente de Las Bolas and arriving at the access ramp to the club's facilities. 

Registration closed on Wednesday night, meeting the expectations of the organizers and counting with more than 200 participants, most of them taking the start in the main event reserved for the children's, junior and master categories. Those who are late still have the possibility of participating in the swim, registering in person on Friday afternoon during the collection of the swimmer's bag. 

The activities of the XXIX San Ginés Crossing begin on Friday afternoon, with the collection of the swimmer's bag. Between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., participants will be attended to in the tent located inside the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, where they will be given the swimmer's bag with everything they need to participate. 

At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, the pre-Benjamin category swimmers will be the first to enter the water, completing a distance of 50 meters. Half an hour later it will be the turn of the Benjamins with a 400-meter race and at 12:00 p.m. the swimmers of the Alevín category will participate with 800 meters. And at 1:00 p.m., from La Rocar beach, the start will be given to the race for the children's, junior and master categories, with a total distance of 1,200 meters.

The XXIX San Ginés Crossing 2024 is organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, and has the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands, Cabildo de Lanzarote, Arrecife City Council, Arrecife Department of Sports, Armas Transmediterránea and Decathlon.
