Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" has ended the year adding a new league victory, by winning on Saturday night against Bosonit Unbibasket from La Rioja by 59 to 53, in a tremendously even match that could have fallen to either side of the scale.
During the first half of the match, the teams did not get much out of the scoreboard with little advantage in the first quarter, three for each team that soon faded, and up to eight for the local team in the second, which the visitors took care of annihilating over time. The defenses were proving intense, with many missed shots, while the speed of the game, at some moments of the match, was frenetic, moving the ball quickly trying to surprise the team that had to defend.
From the tie at 15 in the first quarter, it went to 30 to 31 in the second, with which they reached the break, leaving everything pending for the second part of the match.
At the restart of the match, a much more combative Bosonit Unibasket was seen and a Magec Tías that was accumulating personal fouls very easily. The local coach requested a time-out because he did not like what he was seeing on the court and how the players of the peninsular team had managed to open a gap in the scoreboard that, if not remedied, could be insurmountable, with 8 points difference.
Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" not only managed to reduce the differences, but also managed to turn the numbers on the scoreboard to be above, signing a superb third quarter, of those that are making fans fall in love with the team's game. With one last quarter to go, the score was 48 to 43, five points of advantage that, as the match was, were not definitive.
In the last quarter, the Riojan team pulled out their caste, but without losing their positions, to reduce the differences and they were achieving it at some point in the quarter, getting very close to the tie, but at that moment some genius of the Lanzarote team once again gave a moral blow to their rival, widening the gap between both teams again without them being able to do anything.
The precipitation in the visitors' shooting was increasing, harassed by the time that forced them to score, while the strongest point of the locals throughout the match, the rebounds, were used to change the possession of the ball from side to side and that this was of the players trained by Jesús García.
Time was passing and the distance, was reduced or expanded, but without the partial victory moving, finally the match fell to the side of Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" by 59 to 53, signing the locals a record of 44 rebounds, 30 under their basket, where they only lost 2, of the 17 that the visiting team won in total.
Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" now faces a break in the competition, which will resume on January 7, visiting Ingenia Solar Energy Costa de Almería. The Lanzarote team ends 2022 in ninth position, with 5 wins and 6 losses, in a tremendously even classification.
