Magec Tías Lanzarote Contra la Violencia de Género once again competed at a high level away from home, but failed to turn their effort into victory during their visit to ESCO Grupo Femenino Alcorcón. The team coached by Jesús García kept pace with the game for over thirty minutes, reaching halftime with a tied score, but ultimately succumbed in the final quarter where fatigue became noticeable, concluding the match 80 to 64

The island team traveled to Madrid with the firm intention of returning to the path of victory and showed it from the initial tip-off. The red-and-black team took to the Madrid court ready to compete, aware of the opponent's stature, an Alcorcón located in the upper part of the standings and with solid performance on their home turf.

From the opening moments, the match took on a very physical tone. Far from shying away from this dynamic, Magec Tías Lanzarote adapted with composure, offering intense and disciplined play that allowed them to match the home team's rhythm. The first half unfolded with remarkable balance, reflecting the defensive effort and concentration of the visitors, who managed to go into halftime with the score tied.

In the second half, the script of the match remained the same. The Lanzarote players continued to show competitive spirit, staying in the game until the start of the final quarter. However, the accumulated fatigue began to take its toll, and it was then that the Madrid team took advantage to impose their rhythm and open a decisive gap in the score

After the match, coach Jesús García praised the work done by his squad:

"The result does not do justice to the work done on the court. All we can do is keep working to get back to scoring. It was a very evenly matched first half and a second half where we were still in contention in the final period, but we couldn't dictate the pace of the game as we wanted," stated the red-and-black coach

Magec Tías Lanzarote Contra la Violencia de Género is already thinking about its next commitment, with no time for regrets. The island team returned to the island with their sights set on the duel they will play tomorrow, Monday, against CB Ciudad de Móstoles, at the Municipal Pavilion of Tías, at 12:30 PM, a new opportunity to get back to winning ways and continue growing in the competition.
