Magec Tías Against Gender Violence visited the leader of the competition, Campus Promete of Logroño, with the significant absence of Joana Ferreira, the Portuguese point guard who continues to recover from her neck injury.

During the first half, the team coached by Aday Villalba, managed to be quite solvent in the defensive zone against a team that is above the rest of the clubs in the category. The pressure on the offensive game of the Riojan team prevented them from having comfortable shots and success in the basket.

Despite everything, the Lanzarote team reached halftime 11 points behind, 35 to 24, with the firm intention of reducing the difference in the second half.

But Campus Promete was not going to be surprised. They adjusted the lines, moved their players well and, despite the work done by the island team, their shooting success was increasing and the game was decided in the third quarter, with Magec Tías scoring only 4 points for 27 of their rival.

The last quarter was a mere formality, ending the match with a result of 84 to 44. Campus Promete was a whirlwind in the second half, with a great offensive display.

We are very satisfied with the work done against a team with enormous potential and that is totally out of our league (Aday Villalba).

Next week the Lanzarote team will host Pacisa Alcobendas on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
