The sailor Leonardo Armas starred in the surprise by winning the first edition of the J80 Puerto Calero Sailing Trophy, which concluded this Sunday in the waters south of Lanzarote, and in which he surpassed, among others, the Olympic athlete Gustavo Martínez.

The event, which took place with winds ranging between ten and fifteen knots, brought together a large representation of specialists from the most numerous class of Spanish sailing.

In the third race of the regatta - the first of today - the Olympic athlete Gustavo Martínez Doreste, representing the Real Club Náutico de La Palma, accessed the second place ahead of Rafael Lasso, who was finally favored in this particular duel.

While in the fourth, after an impeccable start by practically the entire fleet, the most outstanding was the second place achieved by Carlos de la Hoz.

The classification, in its honor roll, was as follows: 1- Leonardo Armas (5 points); 2- Rafael Lasso (13); and 3- Gustavo Martínez (18).
