Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen was defeated this Saturday at the Carballal Municipal Pavilion in their visit to Solimusic Events Carballal (28-18) in a match corresponding to the fifteenth day of the Women's Honor Division Gold.

The Tiñosa team fell apart in the second half. During the first thirty minutes, the Tiñoseras faced the Galician team, reaching halftime with minimal differences (12-11).

The second half completely changed the landscape. With Carballal, aware of their destiny, they seemed to put more impetus and passion into their resumption. Ten minutes into the second half, the differences on the scoreboard increased in favor of the locals (18-14). A gap that the Tiñoseras could no longer remedy, reaching the end of regulation time with a ten-goal advantage and inflicting a comfortable defeat on the aurinegras.

The league's top scorer and from the Galician team, Antía Seijo, did not disappoint and scored eleven goals for Javier Castro's team. In the Tiñosa squad, Fernanda Luján scored four goals in a match with very low scoring from the Lanzarote team.

The defeat leaves the Tiñoseras in ninth position in the standings with thirteen points. Their closest pursuer, Pereda, won this Saturday against the last classified, Mislata, and is one point behind the aurinegras.

For the Tiñosero coach, Juanmi Pérez, "it was the match that was expected, from our league, we were playing a bit to almost be able to sentence this project and well, we came out quite cold in the pavilion and we came out a bit lost, a bit prone to mistakes in attack. We missed quite a few shots in attack and, more or less, we were losing, then we equalized, losing, equalizing and we finished the first half with one goal. As the first half went, having lost by only one goal was good. In the second half, something happened that perhaps has never happened in these years, having a bad second half where we practically didn't score anything, we scored very few goals and where Carballal takes us off the court, nine goals in the second half. We have stood out for doing more or less good second halves always and this time it couldn't be, that is, it is clear that Carballal did better than us and I am going to congratulate them because in their pavilion they have shown that they came from last week to play a good game against Zonzamas and they have won us. Now it's time to continue working, we have two games left before the Carnival break. We have lost two points, but we are currently in a good position," concluded the aurinegro coach.

Next Saturday, February 15, Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen receives Vino Doña Berenguela Bm. Bolaños, a team on the rise that has drawn at home against Zonzamas (22-22) and is fifth in the standings with nineteen points and a balance of nine wins, one draw and five losses in fifteen games played, at the Tías Municipal at 8:30 p.m.
