Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen was defeated this Saturday at the Tías Municipal Pavilion with the visit of Vino Doña Berenguela Bm. Bolaños (26-29) in a match corresponding to the sixteenth day of the Women's Gold Honor Division.
The first minutes were developed with many inaccuracies by both squads. The posts and woods prevailed at times (2-2, min.5). After seven minutes Cristina Mazaira had already saved two penalties.
After a brief period of exchange of goals, Nadege Moronfolu's energy began to give Bolaños an advantage on the scoreboard (8-10, min 19). Puerto del Carmen disconnected from the match and the visitors took advantage of it, causing Juanmi Pérez's first timeout. It was of little use, the aurinegras fell without remission, uncontrolled in attack and defense (10-16, min. 26).
Only a surface-to-air missile from Tati Masseu broke the local offensive drought. There was a sigh left. Bolaños asked for a timeout to try to take advantage of fourteen seconds of play. The scoreboard would no longer change (11-18).
The grayish landscape inherited by the Tiñosero team from the first half did not end with the resumption, as Bolaños scored a new goal as soon as they left the locker room and increased the difference. Plus eight.
Puerto gritted their teeth in defense, but Bolaños did not step on the brakes. The Tiñosero team launched themselves into an open grave for the match. Speed, speed and speed trying to reduce distances on the scoreboard until causing the visitor's timeout (18-22. Min. 12).
At times, Bolaños trembled before the new panorama after a beautiful thread from Yuyi (20-23). Made started to work in goal and hope was reborn in the Tiñoseras.
As the minutes passed, the local attack deflated a little, until an aesthetic balloon from Cristina Betancort left the difference at two goals with just over ten minutes of play remaining (22-24, 19:40).
Things of the sport. After so much effort, a penalty from Odalys Escalona that came in crying gave oxygen to the visitors. Again four up Bolaños, Juanmi Pérez asked for a new time longing for the almost impossible, but his team seemed to have run out of gas.
Bolaños pulled out his trade and froze the match. Certain defensive hardness rarefied the atmosphere until a new pause requested by Juanmi Pérez (25-28, 28:02).
With the match practically dead, a move on the wing ended with a red card for Lucía Olivier. Clara Robayo scored the penalty and ended the match.
The last ten minutes of the first half condemned a Puerto del Carmen that showed another face in the restart, but ran out of time and strength for the final comeback.
Visitor Paula Manso became the top scorer of the match and her team with seven goals. In the Tiñosera squad, Fernanda Luján Insfrán scored five goals.
The defeat leaves the Tiñoseras in ninth position in the standings with thirteen points. Bolaños climbs to third place after winning against the aurinegras.
Next Saturday, February 22, Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen visits Caja Rural Cleba in the "Hansi Rodriguez" University Pavilion in León, a team that is eighth in the standings with seventeen points and a balance of eight wins, one draw and seven losses in sixteen matches played. This weekend they have fallen at the home of the leader Zonzamas (30-13).
